Good place to go for an Indian meal, The staff were friendly and accommodating. When we went the place was empty and just us.
Food is decently priced but they do charge for small additions like chutney and poppadoms which came as a surprise as these are often complimentary in other places.

Happened across this restaurant whilst staying at the Aden Park Caravan & Camping site. One of the best Indian meals we’ve ever had tonight. The onion fried rice was amazing, and so was the garlic naan bread, thin, light, fluffy and crisp. We had the veg pakora, South Indian Garlic Chili masala and Khatmandu masala, both so fresh with layers of flavour. Amazing meal, lovely friendly staff, and very reasonably priced! Will definitely be back. 5*

Food can be a hit or miss. Sometimes it doesn't have much taste and others it's great. Quick friendly service. Takeaway only for us, so no idea of atmosphere.

Have been there twice. I still have not had the scallop dish.
On our last visit, your main man looked and checked our order before giving us our order. On serving the meal ( 10 miles away from the restaurant), we found that a main meal was missing, and yes, the scallop dish was also missing. On advising what was a miss the attitude, "remind me on your next visit, and I'll sort things out." We only visit the area and do not live in the locality. The food we did receive was very good, the attitude was not.

Good food at a great quality and a decent price. I drive from another town that has multiple Indian restaurants to come here as it’s far superior.

Warm welcome, great atmosphere and excellent priced food. Friendly, helpful staff on hand to answer any questions and help with any dietary requirements. Free parking spots with overflow onto the street in a safe area.

I think I know my curries and this was right up there. Take out only but Tandoori chicken starter was delicious and enough for 2 people. South Indian garlic chili, just hot enough and really tasty. Can't comment on inside or staff but I had no problems ordering over the phone and it was ready when they said it would be.

Fantastic every time. So so tasty! Just experienced another Indian takeaway this wkend, not in same area, and realise just how lucky we are to have a special Indian Takeaway on our doorstep. Their food is extremely good.

Myself and my husband came to bengal spice for a meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We waited an hour after getting a drink before our meal arrived. My curry came with strawberries and a glacé cherry on it, my husband had a tikka which had squirty cream on it. We were a bit confused had they got mixed up with desserts. The food was Luke warm, waiter constantly seemed stressed. An hour after we got home my husband was throwing up and our anniversary date night has been ruined as he is now still feeling unwell. I didn’t eat more than 2 forkfuls as it was awful.
We were told by friends this place was good but in all honesty it was terrible.

Having previously left excellent reviews for Bengal Spice, it pains me to leave the following negative review:
Having been loyal customers for some time, my husband and I wanted to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary at Bengal spice with friends. We had booked in previously as a group of 12 and informed the gentleman taking our booking that we were celebrating or 10th wedding anniversary. On arrival a table had been prepared for our group, but the reception to us was cold and distant and we did not feel welcome. The food was nowhere near the standard it used to be, with vegetables and potatoes tasting old and stale. The portions were also greatly reduced from our previous visits. And we were left feeling hungry. Throughout, the service we and our friends received was lacking in warmth or friendlyness and the atmosphere felt stressful. After our meal we wanted coffees and desert, but where informed that they did not offer either. This is so irregular, as we used to always be able to have coffee and desert before when dining there. To top it all, despite their opening times stating 4pm to 10.30pm, they switched off the music at around 8.30pm and opened the front door, so it got cold. Our group were the only people left in the restaurant at the time. We were made to feel so uncomfortable and uneasy. It was definitely their way of getting us to leave. A most undignified experience. This has completely spoiled our wedding anniversary. We never felt anywhere so unwelcome. We will never return and will no longer recommend this restaurant.

My husband and I visited this fantastic restaurant a few times now and we can only speak very highly of it. The waiters and staff are friendly, professional and helpful and the food is out of this world. Asian cooking at its best! They have something for everyone, too, and do plenty of yummy plant-based or vegan options for those who do not fancy meat or/ and cannot do dairy. We will keep going back for sure. Highly recommend!
